The video series
Building Circle.
Circle is a long-form drone installation: four voices, one in each corner of the room, over handpan, instrument textures and a continuous sub-bass drone, built to run for hours in a real space. This series follows the build — not an expert teaching you, a creator figuring it out. The failures stay in.
Made in partnership with Dex, an AI collaborator. The music, the sound and the direction are mine. Dex implements, checks and argues alongside me. That working relationship is part of what the series shows.

02 / The tuning
Everything sits on
one harmonic series.
The drone is built on a 32 Hz fundamental. Every note above it is a whole-number multiple — the harmonic series — so C is 256 Hz and A lands at 432 Hz as a pure ratio from the same root. The acoustic instruments are tuned by hand and drift a few cents around those targets. That drift stays: it’s the instruments’ character, heard against a fixed reference.
- FormatLong-form ambient / drone installation, hours not minutes
- SpaceFour corner speakers and a subwoofer, with versions for stereo PA and headphones
